For this task I was asked to create a college magazine and contents page using Photoshop for my magazine cover and InDesign for my contents page. The first thing I did was researched other magazine so I could generate some ideas for my magazine I looked at how they were laid out the types of images they used the fonts and the types of stories that they contained. I then drew my draft a basic outline of what I wanted my magazine to look like, I also did some research into possible names for my magazine and fonts that I could use after this I set about creating my magazine trying to use any many key features of magazines as possible. I also did and interview q&a to improve my magazine further.  I took a picture of myself in Photo Booth for the main image. When I was happy with the final design of my front cover I set about creating my contents page in InDesign I carted a basic pages using my research to come with the stories for each page when I was happy I upload both of these to my blog. In terms of what went well I feel that my magazine uses a lot of key feature that magazines should have such as a barcode and a main image. I also feel that my magazine cover makes good use of colour with colours that complement each other being used for the font and the background, also it uses a layout which is simple and so it does not look confusing to the eye. To improve may magazine I would make the images and background blend to gather because when I look at real college magazine the images looks as though it belongs on that background not sticking out harshly in the middle. I would also come up with a more inventive name one that represents the feel of what it is like at college more. And finally I would retake my main image to one of better and quality and one that fits the purpose more clearly. Overall I think that my college magazine look good but it could be refined to suit its purpose more clearly.
